PSYC 437 - Health Psychology - Winter 2019

Health psychology involves the discipline and principles of psychology and human behaviour in understanding how the mind, body, and behaviour interact in health and disease. Class topics include psychosocial models of health and disease, stress and coping, health enhancing and health damaging behaviours, pain management, and a variety of specific behaviour-related medical illnesses (e.g., heart disease, cancer, insomnia). Psychology 300, 301, 375 and admission to the Psychology major or Honours program. Also known as: (formerly Psychology 330)
This course may not be repeated for credit.
