Keith Yeates, PhD, assumes the role of lead to the institute’s Behavior and Developing Brain theme. Yeates is an internationally recognized clinician scientist with a major research focus on social outcomes in pediatric traumatic brain injury. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and was appointed chief of the section of pediatric psychology and neuropsychology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. In 2014, he was recruited to Calgary and leads the concussion initiative that is a key priority for the University of Calgary’s strategic research initiative in brain and mental health. Yeates holds the Ron & Irene Ward Chair in Pediatric Brain Injury.
