PSYC 312A - Experimental Design and Quantitative Methods for Psychology - Fall 2017

An integrated approach to the methods, principles, and ethics of psychological research and the statistical techniques utilized for the analysis of these data.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

Notes

  • This course serves as a prerequisite for all 400- and 500-level Psychology courses (except Psychology 405).

Prerequisite(s)

  • Psychology 200, and one of: Mathematics 30-1, Mathematics 30-2, Pure Mathematics 30, Applied Mathematics 30, Mathematics 31. Mathematics II (offered by Continuing Education), or 50 per cent or higher on the Mathematics Diagnostic Test. Equivalents will be accepted for students from outside Alberta.

Antirequisite(s)

  • Credit towards degree requirements will be given for only one of Psychology 312 and Engineering 319, Political Science 399, Sociology 311, Statistics 205, 213, 217, 327; that one being a course appropriate to the degree program.
